Your dream of starting a family does not have to be put on hold.
Infertility is a disease that is time sensitive. Reproductive health care is therefore an essential service and is why we remain open treating our patients needing the advanced reproductive care they deserve. Our initial fertility consultations are now available as a virtual video meeting on your computer, smartphone, or tablet. Speak directly with one of our doctors and we’ll come up with a plan together in the safety of your own home.
What is a Virtual Consult?
A virtual fertility consultation involves speaking with our doctors using simple video conferencing technology over your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Our initial consultations are always the best way to get to know each other and discuss options. Meeting virtually gives you the same experience as meeting in person without having to leave your home. The secure technology allows one of our board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologists to go over your medical history, goals for your family, recommended testing, and options for fertility treatment.Questions? What to Expect with Virtual Fertility Care
Each Fertility Centers of New England doctor is available to meet virtually for new initial consultations and follow-up fertility consultations. After making an appointment, you will receive a link to our secure and private telehealth portal where you will talk to your doctor. Additionally, through our secure patient portal, you will be able to communicate throughout the process with your Fertility Centers of New England care team, nurses, and insurance specialists.
After discussing options with your doctor, we can help you schedule a low-risk appointment to get diagnostic tests, and then follow-up to discuss the results and the recommended treatment path.

Cost and Insurance Coverage
The Fertility Centers of New England recognizes that insurance coverage and financial responsibilities are complicated and can be overwhelming. We accept most insurance plans and offer free initial virtual appointments for those without insurance. As the policy holder, it is important that you contact your insurance company to get the most up-to-date coverage information. Our insurance department can assist you in understanding and interpreting your insurance coverage. They will verify your benefits and review them with you prior to your initial consult.
Frequently Asked Questions About Virtual Care
This is my first time using telemedicine, will this be similar to meeting with a doctor in an office?
Yes! We strive to give our patients an identical experience whether we are in person or using technology to talk. In the same way you walk in for your appointment, you will receive a link to our telehealth portal and be connected easily and securely to our doctors where we can talk live and in private, seeing and hearing each other clearly.
Do I need special equipment to connect to a virtual appointment?
You likely already have access to everything you need! If your smartphone, tablet, or computer is equipped with a camera, you should have no trouble connecting with us. And, of course, if you would rather talk over the phone without video, we can arrange a phone consultation.
What if my camera doesn’t work right or we get disconnected?
We can always use the phone to finish our conversation if, for instance, your internet connection drops or your computer freezes. Simply call the number listed in the email we provide to you and we will pick up where we left off.
