The Flu Shot is Not Associated With an Increased Risk of Miscarriage

In recent years, there has been controversy surrounding a possible link between the flu shot and miscarriage. Fortunately, a recent study has found the flu shot is not associated with an increased risk of miscarriage and there is no link between the flu vaccine and pregnancy loss. The study findings were recently presented to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, which guides vaccination policy for the CDC. This study is larger than previous studies on this subject and was designed specifically to examine this question. It is expected to be formally published in the coming months.
