Access to Fertility Treatment

Access to Fertility Treatment

Infertility is a disease. An estimated one out of six couples attempting pregnancy will have fertility challenges. A major barrier for infertile patients needing infertility treatment is the financial cost. It is important to know if you are struggling with this issue, you have options and you are not alone. Both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations (UN) have made access to fertility treatment an international priority. In the United States, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) has issued a National Action Plan regarding infertility that is supported by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
