Joseph A. Hill, III, M.D. - Fertility Centers of New England Team

Before joining the Fertility Centers of New England, Dr. Hill served in academic medicine for over 17 years and was the Director of Reproductive Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and an Associate Professor in Ob-Gyn and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. Named as one of “The Best Doctors in America” in three national consumer publications annually since 1994, Dr. Hill is a world-renowned speaker and expert in reproductive medicine, especially relating to infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss.

Dr. Hill completed his medical degree and residency at The Medical College of Georgia. He completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and another in Reproductive Immunology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Hill has been awarded several academic scholarships; published more than 150 scientific and clinical papers and textbook chapters; and presented at numerous medical and scientific meetings in 22 countries. He is a member of many professional associations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Gynecological and Obstetrical Society, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

In his free time, Dr. Hill enjoys winter sports, horseback riding, music (he has been a jazz drummer for 40 years) reading, writing, and traveling with his family.

Robert M. Weiss, M.D.

Robert M. Weiss, M.D. - Fertility Centers of New England Team

Dr. Weiss joined the Fertility Centers of New England in 2006 and has been practicing Reproductive Medicine and performing Reproductive Surgery for more than 20 years. He also serves as Director of Reproductive Medicine and Reproductive Surgery at Boston Medical Center and is on the faculty at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Weiss is an accomplished surgeon and has presented numerous papers in the United States and Europe. He has been named one of the “Best Doctors in America” for the last six years.

Dr. Weiss received his medical degree at Rutgers Medical School and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brookdale Hospital, New York, NY. Dr. Weiss completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He continues his academic affiliation at Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Weiss’ research and clinical interests are in the management of infertility and treatment of benign gynecological disorders, including endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and ovarian cysts. Dr. Weiss has recently taken an interest in Mind-Body techniques and is mindful of the psychological difficulty that infertility couples experience.

He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists and the Society of Reproductive Surgeons.

Dr. Weiss enjoys spending time in Wellfleet with his family. He has devoted much time as a volunteer youth soccer coach for the past 10 years.

Danielle Vitiello, Ph.D., M.D.

Danielle Vitiello, Ph.D., M.D. - Fertility Centers of New England Team

Dr. Danielle Vitiello joined us in 2008 from Yale-New Haven Hospital, where she was on the faculty of Yale University’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Vitiello graduated with honors in Chemistry from Boston University. She received her medical degree from the University of Vermont where she also received a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics. She completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale-New Haven Hospital and continued at Yale to complete her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

A distinguished recipient of awards for her basic and clinically applied research and for excellence in teaching, Dr. Vitiello is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and numerous other academic and medical societies, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. She is certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Off-duty, Dr. Vitiello cherishes family time with her own set of twins and her son, as well as gardening and traveling.

Beth Plante, M.D.

Beth Plante - Fertility Centers of New England Team

Dr. Beth Plante joins the Fertility Centers of New England from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Tufts University School of Medicine, where she served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in their combined program in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Dr. Plante received her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She then completed fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Plante is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Her clinical and research interests include infertility, diminished ovarian reserve, primary ovarian insufficiency and polycystic ovary syndrome.

Dr. Plante has been the winner of numerous teaching and clinical awards, including the Berlex Best Teaching Resident Award, Fellow Teaching Award, Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award, Patients’ Choice Award, and Compassionate Doctor Recognition. Dr. Plante is a member of many professional associations, including the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, and the New England Fertility Society.

In her free time, Dr. Plante loves spending time with her family, running, and learning to ski again after a 15 year hiatus.

Peter Wieckowski, Ph.D.

HCLD, Director, Assisted Reproductive Technology Laboratories

Peter brings over 20 years experience to our Embryology and Andrology Laboratories. He has been an active consulting embryologist to many programs over the years in New York, Florida, and South Carolina. Currently he is the laboratory Director at The Fertility Center of Charleston in Charleston, SC and is also the off-site Laboratory Director at Chelsea Fertility in Manhattan, NY.

Dr. Wieckowski completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the State University of New York at Geneseo and his Ph.D. at The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. His doctoral research focused on the role of gene expression in cell differentiation and early embryo development. Peter is particularly interested in cryopreservation technologies utilized in oocyte and embryo freezing and in pre-implantation genetic testing. His efforts resulted in the first live birth from a cryopreserved oocyte in South Carolina. Peter is certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis as a High Complexity Laboratory Director and is a New York State licensed Director of Laboratories. He is also an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Gina Paoletti-Falcone

Gina Paoletti-Falcone RN BSN is a graduate of Northeastern University and has worked in Women’s Health since 1978. After working in Labor and Delivery at Boston City Hospital she taught at Youville Hospital School of Practical Nursing for several years before becoming the Nurse Manager in Labor and Delivery at Malden Hospital. In 1989 she joined Dan Tulchinsky MD in a new infertility practice at Malden Hospital and moved with him to Reproductive Science Center of New England in 1997. Gina was the Clinical Services Manager at RSC until 2004 and returned as the Director of Clinical Operations in 2011.

Gina worked for 7 years as Clinical Services Manager at Freedom Fertility Pharmacy and was responsible for developing infertility educational content for patients, nurses, employees and managed care plans. She was instrumental in the development and launch of Freedom MedTEACH, a web based medication video instruction resource for patients. Gina has presented at regional and national nursing conferences and at the ASRM annual meeting.

In October 2013 Gina joined Fertility Centers of New England as Director of Clinical Services. After 24 years as a fertility nurse, her passion for fertility nursing remains focused on educating and empowering patients to take an active role in their treatment and the critical role that fertility nurses play in their patients’ care. She is especially proud that FCNE has been recognized by ASRM as a Nursing Center of Excellence because the nursing staff is certified in REI nursing. The additional education that the course and certification exam provide ensures the highest standard of knowledge in caring for infertility patients.

Gina enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her sons and grandson who is the light of her life.
